🧬 Let's accelerate medical innovation

At Power, we're making clinical trials easy to navigate for all patients.

Today, patients look to promising medical research when standard treatments have failed them. Unfortunately, there is no single source of truth that patients can understand and trust. The status quo is a government run website which is written in complex medical jargon that is impossible for most people to navigate.

At the same time, clinical trials are the bottleneck on medical innovation—new medicine takes almost 10 years to test and over 86% of all clinical trials are delayed because they can't find enough patients. This is one of the biggest problems facing the life science industry.

Power is the easiest way for patients to access promising new studies. We help more patients find treatments, and accelerate the discovery of novel medicine as we go.

🏹 The role

Power is reaching the point where our product really works. Given this, we’re looking for a high-agency generalist to help us solve problems across the business as we grow into the next phase of scale.

At a high level, this will require grokking the overall company strategy, sussing out inconsistencies + gaps, internalizing opportunities, then building systems to make the most out of some yet-unproven element of the marketplace.

If we were to zoom in, you’ll likely spend time:

This role is based in San Francisco

🤔 Some of the problems we'll be working on

We don't believe in strict job requirements, but if these problems sound fun + familiar, you're probably well suited for this gig:

  1. Defining our first bottoms-up clinic acquisition onboarding + pricing plan
  2. Launching a ‘partner program’ focused on top-recruiting lung cancer hospitals across NA
  3. Scaling-up the internal team that trains our medical-record parsing model
  4. Systematizing our collaboration with patient advocacy groups
