🧬 Let's accelerate medical innovation

At Power, we're making clinical trials easy to navigate for all patients.

Today, patients look to promising medical research when standard treatments have failed them. Unfortunately, there is no single source of truth that patients can understand and trust. The status quo is a government run website which is written in complex medical jargon that is impossible for most people to navigate.

At the same time, clinical trials are the bottleneck on medical innovation—new medicine takes almost 10 years to test and over 86% of all clinical trials are delayed because they can't find enough patients. This is one of the biggest problems facing the life science industry.

Power is the easiest way for patients to access promising new studies. Thus helping more patients find treatments and speeding up the progress of medical research as we go.

šŸ¹ The role

Work directly with our cofounders to drive (primarily organic) patient acquisition and activation. We’re at a stage where we’ve built a meaningful foundation through programmatic SEO, and are looking to both 10x this while proving out other organic loops like patient-to-patient referrals.

As a result, you’ll end up partnering with senior engineers to both test new systems and optimize existing ones. While you’ll have considerable resources dedicated to growth (as liquidity is the product in a marketplace), though we’ll also expect you to be validating ideas directly yourself whenever a low-/no-code test is possible. Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for imagining and managing a portfolio of bets in order to ensure we’re delivering against organic growth goals.

šŸ¤” Some of the problems we'll be working on

We don't believe in strict job requirements, but if these problems sound fun and familiar, you're probably well suited for this gig:

  1. Building out same-side and cross-marketplace growth loops to ensure we’re helping as many patients as possible.
  2. Making it easier for patients to find, understand, and evaluate promising treatments for their medical conditions, so as to improve overall conversion rates.
  3. Diving into competitors to identify SEO opportunities, and then imagining programmatic pages we might launch to support patients’ search for the topics / themes you identify.
  4. Building microproducts to support patients who are trying to better understand drug-drug interactions, or the tradeoffs associated with different treatment plans.
