🧬 Help more people access better medicine, every day

At Power, we're making it easy for patients to find and connect with leading medical research.

Our end goal is to help more people access the most promising new therapies, while reducing the time it takes for new drugs to be approved for the broader market.

Today, millions of patients look to medical research when standard treatments are failing or inadequate. Unfortunately, there is no single source of truth that patients can understand and trust. The status quo is a government-run website which is written in complex medical jargon that is impossible for most people to navigate.

At the same time, clinical trial recruitment is the central bottleneck in medical innovation: new medicine takes almost 10 years to test and over 86% of all clinical trials are delayed because they can't find enough patients. This is one of the biggest problems facing the life science industry. Power is making recruitment 10x faster by clarifying each step of the journey for patients, and building time-saving software for the researchers looking to fill their trials. You can think of us a little like Airbnb for clinical trials.

🤔 Why do patients choose clinical trials?

Some patients have exhausted all of their options. Others have done the research, and see promising results from a yet-to-be-approved therapy. All of them see clinical trials as a source of hope in what can be an otherwise dehumanizing medical system.

But, don’t just take our word for it:

👋 Who would you be working with?

We’re a senior team that likes to make one-another laugh while doing great work. We’ve found that play and craft pair surprisingly well together — like, baking soda and vinegar.

Some of us solve problems by talking them out. Others like to go for long, solitary walks. All of us take a great deal of pride in making sure they do get solved.

While San Francisco & Toronto are our two ‘hub’ cities, we also have team members in Oxford, Tulum, and Carmel, Indiana.

We have a collective 11 children, can speak 8 languages, and own 10 pets. When we were younger, 2 of us were competitive gamers, 5 of us were varsity athletes, and 3 of us wrote poetry.

When we’re together in person, there’s a race to clear the table & dishes never pile up in the sink.
